Dance, Drink and Laugh

This is the good thing about being young and married.  I mean..this. 🙂

It’s Saturday afternoon and we just finished our late brunch/merienda in Tomato Kick in Katipunan.  We really like eating out in TK.  Food is good and super cheap.  We regularly order sisig and seafood salpicao.  It’s a must-try!

Anyhoo, last night I asked Francis “Gimik naman tayo.  Can you ask anyone out?”  Apparently, I can’t ask anymore my girlfriends on these types of lakad.  Marge is in the US.  Baggie is always busy with her hubby and Adri.  Beng is busy with her wedding preps.  And with that, I can only rely with Kiko’s friends/brods.
So there, Kiko woke me up at 1am, tuloy daw ang lakad namin.  Like a kid on a Christmas eve, I giddily got up.  I haven’t been to any bar for a long time now.  I missed the music, the crowd, the smoky atmosphere.  In 30 minutes, we were in En Route Distillery in Morato and it was like ‘deja vu.’  (walang ligo, ligo. pabango lang ok na.)
We met Kiko’s friend who came with his cousin and two girls, whom they ‘picked up’ in another nearby bar.   young, wild and free ladies. haha… and I am going to cut my story short, but they actually paid almost everything.  Ang saya ng buhay ng mga lalaki, nakamanyak na sila, nalibre pa sila ng inom. Ang tawag dyan ay #swerte.
So there, in the bar, I was kind of feeling a little sentimental.  Officially Missin You was playing and I missed my friends, Marge and Baggie.  I remember, the last time we went out on a gimik was the night before Marge left for US.  And the music at that time, in Senses Bar in Morato, was Officially Missin You.  Marge was actually being approached by an old man..hahaha… and her look was like “tulungan nyo ako…” while the oldie is trying to make a conversation with her. hahaha… And there we met a guy named Vince (if I remember it right), who danced with us and celebrated Marge’s despedida.  Good times. 🙂  Yes, we were young and so free then..

Last night, I had a Jack Coke and just a couple of beer.  And surprisingly, tinamaan ako! So there, I enjoyed a couple of hours of dancing, drinking and laughing with my date, Francis.  I was so tempted, actually, to exchange numbers with him.. hihihihi

My Friday night date.
I told him we should do that more often.  🙂  That’s still our privilege.  Young and free.
Now, it’s 4pm and Kiko is watching football while I am here writing this post.  I heard him say a while ago,  “sarap ng buhay….” as he lied down on the sofa.
Yes, indeed..ang sarap ng buhay namin…
And with that, thank you Papa J for this blessed, comfortable life.  🙂  I am turning a year older soon and I realized I got so many things to be thankful for.  I wanted to say, actually, I couldn’t ask for more.  But I do want something more…
Papa J…I wouldn’t mind exchanging the late night dancing to late nights of dancing a baby to sleep.
I wouldn’t mind exchanging the late night drinking to late nights of giving milk to a baby.
and..I wouldn’t mind exchanging our own laughing moments to late nights of hearing a baby’s laughter.
Yes, Lord.  I know You know my birthday wish. 🙂  Ikaw na po bahala…
